Lawyer Simon Lilan has threatened to go to court and have the body of the late Mark Too exhumed if the funeral goes ahead as planned.
Too collapsed at his Eldoret home and died at the St. Lukes hospital where he had been rushed for emergency treatment.
Lilan who is representing the family wants samples taken from the body for a more conclusive post mortem.
“I will change my case to seek exhumation if the body is buried without samples being taken for the investigations and if it will also be buried away from the home of first wife Mary,” Lilan is quoted by the-star.
The post mortem results from the government pathologist, Johansen Oduor did not point to a particular reason amid claims that the former MP was assassinated.
A court order had previously been sought to stop the funeral until th investigations were completed.
The whole melee took a whole new turn when the funeral committee was disbanded days to the funeral.
Heavy security was also deployed at the late MP’s home in readiness for the internment which will be graced by Uhuru, his deputy and former president, Daniel Moi.
There has been incessant claims that Too was assassinated on account of his vast wealth and powerful political ties.
